Funding will support commercialization and expansion of Ama’s personalized autism support platform
AMES, Iowa — July 22, 2026 — Ama AI has been awarded a $100,000 Demonstration Fund loan from the Iowa Economic Development Authority to support the continued commercialization of its personalized AI platform for children with autism and other cognitive differences.
Ama helps families, educators and therapy providers reinforce individualized goals across home, school and clinical settings. Through personalized activities, interactive practice and shared progress insights, the platform is designed to make support more consistent between formal therapy and everyday life.
The funding will help Ama refine its platform for Applied Behavior Analysis providers, improve onboarding and reporting, integrate with provider systems, strengthen security and compliance, expand market outreach and protect intellectual property.
“This support will help us make Ama easier to adopt within existing care workflows while continuing to build toward a future where every child can receive personalized, consistent support,” says CEO Karri Haen Whitmer.
