We Build Because We Care
Founded by ASD parents. Built for every child who deserves better support.
Ama AI is an Ames, IA-based company led by Karri Haen Whitmer and Chris Whitmer. ASD parents who have seen firsthand how meaningful behavior support can be for their son, Ethan. Drawing from their backgrounds in neurobiology, accessibility, adaptive learning, and assistance technology, they set out to create a tool that strengthens the connection between therapists, families, and educators.
With support from partners including USDA, the State of Iowa, nMotion, and the New Schools Venture Fund, Ama is steadily advancing its mission to bring real-world behavioral insights to the children and teams who need them most.
We’d love to hear from you — whether you’d like to collaborate, offer feedback, or explore a demo of Ama in action.
